Serve the Burgh's "Weekend of Service" is an outreach event that takes your church or organization beyond your walls! This year the "Weekend of Service" takes place May 19th through May 21st. Projects can include clean-ups, landscaping, painting, construction, community event participation, nursing home visitations, helping the elderly, prayer walking and many more.
Local churches and organizations in the Pittsburgh region are joining together in this partnership as we expand the scope and reach of Serve the Burgh. By hosting projects or providing volunteers that participate in other projects, your church, youth group, school or organization can participate. One day we hope that partners all over the Pittsburgh region will come together in a work of faith through coordinated community outreach and service.
These are just a few of the projects that volunteers have taken part in over the past few years. Real people like you are making a tangible difference to others in our communities. That's what Serve the Burgh is all about!
